Commissioned by Richard Woodrow and the International Staff Band for their 2015 Australian tour, this Basie swing styled arrangement of the hymn “Down Where the Living Waters Flow” extracts the smooth jazz tone of the Flugel Horn and gives the soloist ample space to deploy their skills. While written as a Flugel Horn solo, this work may be presented alternatively as a cornet or trumpet solo in the absence of a capable Flugel soloist.A Piano accompaniment has been included in this pack for rehearsal or recital purposes.
